SOMD Rush to Partner with SMYO

Southern Maryland Youth Organization (SMYO) and Southern Maryland Rush are very proud to announce a new partnership, as a step towards building a more cohesive soccer community in Southern Maryland’s Charles County.

SMYO and SOMD Rush will work together to enhance SMYO's Recreation soccer program by leveraging the knowledge and resources of Rush soccer, a network of over 55 soccer clubs and 40,000 players from all around the globe. The youth recreation players and coaches of SMYO will now have a pathway for those that are looking to train, compete and advance to a more competitive level of soccer.

SMYO is a non-profit youth sport organization hosting three different sports: Baseball, Soccer, and Cheer. They are located on Route 227, otherwise known as Marshall Corner Road, in Pomfret Maryland. They are the only non-profit youth sports organization in Charles County who owns their own fields. They have four baseball fields and five soccer fields for children ages 4 - 17 years. Their concessions runs throughout the spring and fall season and provides a wide menu choice from grilled burgers, fries, and ice cream.
