2025 Southern Maryland Rush Wrestling

For the 2025 Winter Season, practice begins in mid-November and the season ends in mid-March. Eligible ages are 4-14.

Each year we have interest from inexperienced, first year wrestlers. We are very flexible with our registration process, you may try things out without paying. If you are unsure if your child would be interested in participating in full, but would like to come check out a practice, we have open practices available for your child to attend.

We offer two registration options:

1. Full Participation - 3 practices a week and weekend tournaments. Includes a USA Wrestling registration card, competition singlet, and warm up.

2. Practice Participant - 3 practices a week, for wrestlers looking to build their foundation of wrestling skills. Includes a USA Wrestling registration card. Wrestlers can attend non-league tournaments on their own.

Southern Maryland Rush Wrestling Club

Southern Maryland Rush Wrestling Club, formerly the Thomas Stone Wrestling Club (TSWC), was established in 2011 as a not for profit youth wrestling club, located in Charles County, Maryland. We are a member of the Southern Maryland Junior Wrestling League and are chartered and insured through USA Wrestling. The goal of our club is to instruct young people, both boys and girls, ages 4 to 14 in the discipline of Folkstyle Wrestling; assist in the development of self-control, personal responsibility, dedication, commitment and sportsmanship. We strive to encourage confidence and a strong work ethic, in hopes that it will serve as a foundation for success both on and off the wrestling mat.

Season

Wrestling season typically runs from November until early March, which is the time frame when our club competes in the Southern Maryland Junior Wrestling League. Additionally, we offer clinics for beginners in the Summer and Fall.

Practice

Practices are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6pm -8pm. Registration is online only. Registration deadline is January 31st.

Registration

Registration is available from November 1 to January 31.

To register for wrestling season you will need to complete a registration form, pay the required registration fee and submit a copy of your wrestler's birth certificate.

Registration fee of $295.00 will cover:

Three nights a week of training.
Wrestler's Insurance fees via USA Wrestling.
Coaching support during competitions.
Competition Singlet and warm up.

There is an early bird discount available, if you register your child prior to November 13, the registration fee is $265.

Families with multiple wrestlers will receive the following discounted registration fees:

$10 off for the second wrestler, if registering before November 18th for a total of $255. Registrations for a second wrestler after November 18th will be $265.
$30 off for the third wrestler and beyond, if registering before November 18th for a total of $235. Registrations for a third wrestler or more after November 18th will be $245.

We also offer a practice only option for $195, practice 3 nights a week from Nov 13th - March 4th .
